Here are some fun activities to do with your child or family this holiday season.
1. Choose which of Santa’s reindeer you resemble and why. (Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, Rudolph)
2. Choose a Christmas carol (or song) and write why its important to you.
3. Write a wish that could help someone else, then write what you can do to make it come true.
4. Using figurative language, write about your favorite Christmas morning atmosphere. 
5. Describe your favorite Christmas smell using a simile or metaphor.
6. Write a haiku about Christmas. (3 lines; first and last lines have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables; don’t need to rhyme)
Christmas lights are bright,
Radiating warmth and hope
Filling hearts with cheer.
7. Describe in complete sentences your favorite Christmas tradition.
8. Text emojis or draw pictures of the title of a Christmas song and see if your family can guess what it is. As an example, try to figure out the song below:
