Johnny is a fourteen year old apprentice as a silversmith living in Boston before the Revolutionary War. He burns his hand and is not able to be a silversmith any more. So he starts delivering the newspaper and gets caught up in taking sides with the rebels and the events leading up to the Revolutionary War.
